Nutritional assessment and Body Fat Measurement
The nutritional assessment take place in the first session and consist of the basic 4 domains.
- Food or nutrition-related history
- Biochemical data
- Anthropometric measurements
- Nutrition-focused physical findings
Physiological (e.g. genetics, pregnancy, breastfeeding), pathological (inflammation, trauma, medication) and psychological factors are evaluated in addition and holistically complete the nutritional profile.
The body fat measurement gives the proportion of the body fat and lean mass (muscle mass, bones, water)
For the measurement it is used the bioelectrical impedance (BIA) method. The analysis gives information for the whole body but also on its various parts separately (eg right arm, left leg, torso, etc.).
For the measurement can also be used a Harpenden skinfold caliper, for 7 skin folds.
